January 11, 2010 by kcroboticsWe will have a presentation on how to program the Arduino. Vince Thompson is an excellent teacher and has done a bunch of work on the Arduino and will be presenting.
This will be the first of a series of hands-on meetings. If you have an Arduino please bring it along with a laptop. If you don’t have an Arduino you might consider purchasing one. They are very inexpensive. I just bought a Arduino Duemilanove from Sparkfun.com for $29.95. Sparkfun has a range of Arduino computers from 18.95 to 149.95. Over the next two meetings (plus an auxiliary meeting) we will show how to build a line following robot using an Arduino.

January 2, 2010 by kcroboticsWe have had trouble keeping the web site timely with the activities of the club. The Forum was just not really working. I did not want to move to a content management system like Joomla because it requires a lot of design, upkeep and has a rather sharp learning curve. So we are going to try the blog format.
Hopefully this will keep people more informed about the clubs activities.
